Define the platform job
An enterprise AI platform should be judged against the workflow it must support, the people who use it, the systems it touches, and the evidence needed to run it safely. For Australian organisations, the useful question is not whether a platform has many model features. It is whether the platform helps a named team improve a governed business process with clear ownership.

Check the data and control boundary
Before a pilot, document what data may enter the platform, where it is processed, who can access outputs, how prompts and retrieval sources are logged, and what happens when the supplier changes terms or capability. Privacy, security, and records questions should be answered before the platform becomes part of an operational workflow.

Pilot a solution before scaling the platform
Start with one enterprise AI solution, such as retrieval for service teams, field-work assistance, document triage, fraud review, or governance intake. Measure baseline performance, output quality, user correction, escalation, cost, and rollback. A platform earns trust when one controlled workflow proves useful enough to repeat.
